- For basic printing functionality use the <a
- href="http://hplipopensource.com/">HPIJS
- driver </a>. For advanced functionality such
- as printer status and maintenance features, use the
- <a href="http://hplipopensource.com/">
- HPLIP driver</a> (which includes HPIJS). <p>
-
- To get its maximum quality, use the "hpijs"
- driver.<p>

- Older user comments:<p>
-
- Colors are a little off with the dj550 driver, but prints OK
- otherwise. Probably does not use the full resolution. Maybe other
- HP drivers will work better?<p>
-
- According to an <a
- href="http://www.deja.com/getdoc.xp?AN=561259557">article
- on deja.com</a>, the DeskJet 832C is technologically the
- same as the DeskJet 882C, only slower and with a reduced duty
- cycle. Whether that's true or not, it seems to print fine
- with the cdj880 driver in 300 or 600 dpi. However, the cdj880
- driver's author's remarks (regarding quality on the
- DeskJet 882C printer) do apply to the DeskJet 832C printer as
- well.<p>
-
- Anyone qualified to say if this printer qualifies for
- "Perfect" functionality with the cdj880 driver?
